Money
Payments and refunds
- When am I actually charged?
- Only after a creator accepts your request. Submitting a request places a temporary authorization hold, and Comparsa captures the amount only if the creator accepts while that authorization remains valid. No acceptance, no capture.
- Are there hidden fees?
- No mandatory host platform fee, and Comparsa pays ordinary payment-processing fees. The creator's listed price is the price. The math is on the fees page.
- Who sets prices?
- Creators set their own listed Service Price.
- What if the creator cancels?
- You receive a full refund of the amount captured for the booking. That is the policy, not a negotiation.
- What if I need to cancel?
- After capture: more than 7 days out, a full refund of the service amount; 48 hours through 7 days, 50%; inside 48 hours, none. The full schedule is on the fees page.
- What if the creator does not show or underdelivers?
- Report it to support@comparsa.ai within 48 hours after the scheduled event ends and include available supporting information.

Cities, talent, and timing
- Which cities does Comparsa cover?
- The initial rollout is focused on Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City.
- What kind of talent can I request?
- DJs, mariachis, bandas, norteño bands, live bands, singers and vocalists, photographers, videographers, MCs and hosts, dancers and choreographers, magicians, and face painters, with an Other option for everything else. More categories open as creators apply.
- What updates can I sign up for?
- Comparsa product, community, and availability updates. That is what we use your information for, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Is Comparsa live right now?
- Yes. Comparsa is now available on the App Store for iPhone. Our community is just getting started, and creator availability varies by location and date. Get Comparsa on the App Store.
